In our previous post we had spotlighted a Bahamas inspired interior which basically used only two colors, an eggshell blue and a beige, here’s the exact opposite. We’ve got a whole jumble of colors, blue pink and green mostly that all come together in a harmonious whole – mostly because they are more or less the same shade(s) – pastels. This also serves in an lesson in patterns, clearly. Any room has a number of different elements and surfaces, furniture, walls, floor, right? There is a trick, or an art form in knowing when enough is enough, or otherwise, just right, we’ll call that kind of a goldilocks balance. If we divvy this up to the basic elements, the ceiling and the general fabrics of the room are a solid, while the floor and the walls patterns. The green in the carpet matches well the leaves in the wallpaper, which also blends perfectly with the solid color chair cushions. Very well executed design work and a lovely interior. I guess this would be time for tea no?
