Okay so we do have to give credit where credit is due, we found this particular image from The Next Miami, but in point of fact it was by way of the broker Katrina Campins Instagram account that we first discovered it and was simple looking for a better rendering.
As with some many super wealthy individuals these days they are completely trashing old Miami homes on the islands of Biscayne Bay, in this case Star Island, and putting up these fantastical homes. Here is Stuart Miller’s proposed residence on Star Island. We don’t love it when people knock down old houses and tend to prefer the whole preservation thing, but at the same time we do appreciate amazing architecture, and I think this possibly qualifies.
Stuart Miller is the CEO of Lenar, so obviously he’s got some pretty deep pockets and can do almost whatever he feels like, especially in a town like Miami Beach. The address is listed at 22 Star Island Drive, there is a huge push by the local community to save the existing house originally built by Carl Fisher and designed by the architect Martin Hampton. Not sure how well that’s going to go.
Campins has had her ups and down in the real estate business, was all over the public eye when she was on Donald Trumps Apprentice, and then tried to launch her own reality show, but has since carved out something of a more quite life for herself, with just her own practice, although still working for Trump Real Estate as a broker – take a look at the full “Where Are They Now” for Miami Social.
