Seems almost a foregone conclusion and maybe even unfair that an Apple Store would be on any and every top list of best buildings, Apple has a seeming lockdown on millennial taste. We’re not going to gush madly over their products or their design aesthetic, but we can give props when they are due. The Apple store in Stanford Palo Alto is pretty amazing, from a visual perspective, designed by Bohlin Cywinski Jackson the roof line is thin to the point of being almost non-existent held up quite literally by walls of glass truly capturing that sense of floating in air. It is a glass pavilion to the truest sense the likes of which would make Philip Johnson or any of the previous millenniums International Style architects pleased as punch (clearly NOT International Style though). Clean and well executed it’s a wonder to behold and does leave much to the imagination, so we’ll keep it filed as one of our current favorites, not because its Apple, but because its good design.
