A very cool modern looking home in Madison Wisconsin, love the design. It was one of the first Platinum rated LEED homes in Wisconsin. It was designed by the Atlanta-based architecture firm Richard Wittschiebe Hand, a collaboration between Carol Richard and her husband a mechanical engineer, Fred Berg. Despite being very unobtrusive and casual in its styling, it’s a good example of why we need a more fully integrated approach to solar PV design.
Look in the back, above the garage, yup, those are solar panels, sticking up uncomfortably in the air. We love solar, but the whole floppy out in the air hovering over head thing is awful.
