At first glance we were rather unimpressed by this kitchen that we found out in the English countryside, large ceramic tiles, somewhat austere light wood, little detail to speak of. But on a second look, we decided that maybe our initial thoughts were a bit unfair. Our second look immediately focused on the bright blue oven and stove top and it took a minute to digest what is actually a wonderful set up. Ignore the drab colors for a second and instead the actual layout of the kitchen is fantastic. The more traditional stove oven combo is great for a prep and reheating space, you could cook there obviously, if you wanted. The more modern stove and oven is pushed into the back for dishes that would take more time to cook and need less oversight. Throw in the oversized island and there is actually an enormous amount of space. A rolling cart or secondary island would add even more room and function. For something we were not immediately impressed by, it grew on us very quickly.
