Not so easy to figure out which section this belongs in, there are all sorts of terrible jokes that we could make about Trump’s idiotic wall, but maybe we’ll just let the good folk over at Slate, who are much more well equipped with the staff to comment on all of the submissions for the project. Needless to say while our title might be a little misleading, these are not Trump’s actual submissions, but rather design competition submissions by way of the Request For Proposal, whether its actually an official RFP or otherwise. It’s almost certainly safe to say, as many have pointed out that most of the entries are ridiculous just like the idea of the wall itself), many of them are probably just publicity stunts, and others are of course political statements.
Personally there are a few, that while still ridiculous are worth a mention. There was one plan to line the wall with a high speed train of some sort, although where it would go and what purpose it would serve is not entirely clear. Another was to line the top of the wall with solar panels, since this is Earth Month, clearly we like the concept.
Follow on over at Slate and if we come across more commentary, we’ll post it – Trumps Wall Of Despair From Slate
