In a previous post we mentioned how to make a small NYC kitchen look bigger by using white cabinetry and stainless steel appliances. The walls in that kitchen were painted blue to bring just a touch of color in to the small space. Here we find an alternate solution that provides visual texture to the room, wallpaper on the ceiling, hardly an original idea, but we came across the two idea simultaneously and thought they would be a good fit for each other. Love the “plaid” in various blues. The lanterns are gorgeous, but these in particular might be a bit too big and boxy for a New York City kitchen, better to go with softer shapes.
