Everybody thinks they’re a chef these days, and who can blame them. The flood of TV shows pumped out showcasing individuals who can cook and celebrity chefs pitching their restaurants and books and chef gear. Not to mention of course that, yes, we do all have to eat and honestly its more fun eating with people. Something we have yet to see in homes, but obviously on sets, is the double island kitchen. Our first reaction was kind of, “Really” do I have that much space in my home for double islands, and who do I think I am that I want people watching me cook. But then of course I got over my personal upsell indignation and realized what a great idea it was. If you’re a big family, what a wonderful way to have everybody take part and parcel. It’s not quite the same as cavemen sitting around a fire, or camping in the backyard, but it is a good set up for sharing.
